At Miami Cardiac & Vascular Institute’s Resistant Hypertension Program, we use the latest technology and treatments to help our patients control their blood pressure and reduce their risk for heart attack, stroke, heart failure, dementia and other conditions closely related to high blood pressure.

Hypertension is one of the most common health problems American adults face today — one in every two to three adults has hypertension, and approximately 50 percent of adults with hypertension don’t have their blood pressure under control. Since hypertension is a major risk factor for heart attack and stroke, we are passionate about helping our patients manage it.

Using a combination of medicines and lifestyle changes, our specialists will work with you to lower your blood pressure, with the goal of getting your hypertension under control within three months.

Who benefits from Miami Cardiac & Vascular Institute’s Resistant Hypertension Program?

What does the Resistant Hypertension Program include?

  • Exercise
  • Weight loss
  • Sleep apnea control

How often do I check in with my doctor or care team in the hypertension program?

Our Resistant Hypertension Program is extremely flexible, which means you can be in constant communication with your care team.
